Lee Mechanical was proud to work closely with other local companies on the completion of another location for Woodman’s. Lee was also part of the construction of the Woodman’s in Lakemoor, Illinois, in 2019. This new location in The Village of Bloomingdale is a stand-alone grocery store near Schick Road and Gary Avenue in the Stratford Square Mall area.

With over 240,000 square feet of grocery store, a 2,300-square-foot car wash, and two gas stations, the new Woodman’s is “a very big deal” according to Bloomingdale’s Director of Community & Economic Development, Sean Gascoigne. 

Lee’s talented refrigeration and mechanical team members began work on this 5-acre project in 2020.

Lee team members were onsite, overseeing a number of installations, including:

• Installation of thousands of feet of chilled glycol piping systems
• Feeding coolers and food cases
• Heat reclaim systems
• In-floor heat under freezer slabs
• Case drains, and condensate drains

Lee plumbers coordinated worksite safety across all trades, and installed cost-efficient design-build systems on an accelerated schedule. This project offered unique challenges, but the Lee team thrives on turning challenges into accomplishments.

This location was scheduled to open in September 2021.
