Lee Mechanical is currently involved in the multi-phase Racine Water Utility Filter Rehabilitation Project, a critical infrastructure effort focused on upgrading the City of Racine’s water treatment systems to ensure safe, efficient service to the community for decades to come.

Scope of Work:

Lee’s responsibilities on this project include:

  • Complete filter bed rehabilitation

  • Filter media replacement

  • Valve replacement, including valves up to 24 inches in size

  • Design-build coordination to maintain accuracy and efficiency

Lee Mechanical has deployed a team of 2 to 8 steamfitters throughout the course of the project, depending on the phase and scope of work underway.

Project Challenges

A key challenge in this ongoing project is maintaining a strict schedule to minimize operational downtime and avoid service disruptions. Lee Mechanical is addressing this by implementing detailed planning, strategic phasing, and real-time coordination to ensure essential systems remain functional while rehabilitation work progresses.

This project reflects Lee Mechanical’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient solutions for complex municipal infrastructure needs.
