Kurt Nowak

Kurt Nowak serves as the Vice President of Fire Protection at Lee Mechanical, where he leads the continued growth and expansion of the company’s fire protection division. A licensed automatic fire sprinkler contractor and journeyman sprinkler fitter, Kurt brings nearly two decades of hands-on experience and leadership to the fire protection industry. He is committed to developing comprehensive fire protection offerings—including fire alarm systems, special hazards, and fire equipment—while supporting and strengthening the talented team at Lee Mechanical.

Kurt began his career in 2006 as a pipe fabricator before entering the Sprinkler Fitters Local 183 Apprenticeship Program in 2007. After completing his apprenticeship, he advanced into a service sales project management role, where he further honed his technical and leadership skills. His career trajectory provided him with the unique opportunity to launch and build a new fire protection division from the ground up. Through his leadership, the team expanded to nearly 60 members within five years, a testament to his strategic vision, commitment to growth, and ability to foster collaboration and excellence.

In October 2025, Kurt joined Lee Mechanical to continue expanding the company’s fire protection capabilities and reinforce its strong foundation. He is passionate about team development, mentorship, and ensuring his colleagues feel supported as they work together to achieve shared goals.

A proud member of Sprinkler Fitters Local 183, Kurt also serves on the Local 183 Finance Committee. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from ITT Technical Institute, combining technical expertise with practical experience to deliver innovative fire protection solutions.

Over the course of his career, Kurt has made significant contributions to many high-profile projects. His passion for excellence, strong leadership, and unwavering dedication continue to propel the success and expansion of Lee Mechanical’s Fire Protection Division.

When not at work, Kurt and his wife stay busy with their two daughters, who play travel softball for a local Franklin club team that won a state championship in 2025. One of their daughters also plays basketball for the Franklin High School team, keeping the family’s schedule active year-round.
