BAS (Building Automations Systems)/Temperature Controls Electrician

General Description

The BAS/Temperature Controls Electrician will play a key role in supporting the Electrical team by performing the installation of temperature control system. This position involves working closely with project teams and field personnel to ensure that the project is getting done efficiently, effectively and in a safe manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation of temperature controls systems, including conduit, cabling, and field devices.
  • Installation of panels, controllers, field devices and cable terminations for a complete functional system.
  • Safely wire and connect/disconnect electrical equipment up to 120VAC.
  • Candidate will be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, wiring drawings, and project scope to perform installation on time and within budgets
  • Proficient computer skills to layout and as-build projects.
  • Utilize Arc flash/other PPE and properly perform LOTO procedures.
  • Working in a safe manner and promoting a safe working environment consistent with company safety procedures.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned

Key Competencies/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient understanding of HVAC systems and sequence of operations for HVAC controls.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, as part of a team, and lead others.
  • Detail oriented with great organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot under pressure
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Clean valid driver’s license.
  • Drug screening required.
  • Must have at (2) years or more electrical experience.
  • Ability to estimate and write change orders a plus.
  • Minimum OSHA 10, OSHA 30 preferred.
