Warehouse / Driver
General Description
Lee Mechanical is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse / Driver to support the daily operations of our construction, fabrication, and service teams. This position is responsible for transporting materials, tools, and equipment to and from jobsites, maintaining organized warehouse operations, and ensuring field personnel have the resources necessary to perform their work efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial vehicles and forklifts, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivery & Transportation
- Safely transport materials, equipment, tools, and supplies between Lee Mechanical facilities, vendors, and project jobsites.
- Perform scheduled and on-demand deliveries to support construction and service operations.
- Pick up materials and equipment from suppliers and vendors.
- Secure loads and ensure materials are transported safely and efficiently.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain clean and professional company vehicles.
- Operate trucks, trailers, and CDL-required vehicles in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
- Assist with inventory control, material tracking, stocking, and warehouse organization.
- Prepare and stage materials for upcoming projects.
- Participate in warehouse housekeeping and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and material audits.
Tooling & Equipment Support
- Coordinate and deliver tools, equipment, and specialty tooling to jobsites.
- Track and organize company-owned tools and equipment.
- Arrange pickups and returns of tooling from jobsites.
- Support field personnel by responding to urgent tool and material requests.
- Assist in maintaining tool inventories and check-in/check-out processes.
- Ensure tooling and equipment are delivered where needed to support project schedules and productivity.
Loading, Offloading & Field Support
- Assist project teams with loading and offloading materials at jobsites.
- Support foremen, superintendents, and warehouse personnel with material handling and logistics.
- Help ensure materials are delivered to the correct locations and available when needed.
- Assist with material staging and distribution at jobsites when required.
- Promote and maintain safe work practices at all times.
Documentation, Safety & Quality
- Maintain commissioning logs, startup reports, deficiency logs, and turnover documentation.
- Coordinate closeout documentation related to startup and commissioning activities.
- Ensure commissioning work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies and project requirements.
- Promote quality workmanship, system performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Support company QA/QC initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Forklift certification or demonstrated forklift operating experience.
- Experience in warehouse operations, construction logistics, material handling, delivery operations, or related construction support roles.
- Ability to safely lift and carry materials weighing up to 50-70 pounds.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Experience supporting commercial, industrial, or mechanical construction projects.

Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials and equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, early or late depending on jobsite requirements.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, trailers, and other material handling equipment.
