Project Overview

Allied Plastics, a thermoforming & custom vacuum forming company based in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, called Lee Mechanical when they decided to expand their operations by 50,000 square feet.

Lee’s team of experts were an integral part of this project, from start to finish. Using their experience with Trimble Robotic total station technology, Lee worked closely with the customer for the initial plumbing design-build and acquired approvals from the state department. Lee’s experience from technology to layout and installation enabled their team to finish the project more efficiently and accurately.

Allied’s addition to their est. 250,000 sq. ft. plant included approximately 50,000 sq. ft. of office and manufacturing space. Allied’s manufacturing lines continued production throughout this expansion, requiring Lee to work closely with the client to keep production lines up-and-running throughout the process. The project also required Lee’s creativity and expertise for challenges present by tying into existing utilities across numerous buildings at different access elevations.

Lee provided:

  • Initial plumbing design-build
  • Plumbing for new equipment
  • Piping for new extrusion line and process water pump skid
  • Plumbing fixtures and lines for the office addition
  • Roof drainage system

“Working with Allied Plastics was great. They worked closely with our team to make the job go smoothly and efficiently,” said Lee VDC Manager, Ron Morris.
