Project Overview
Alro Steel, a metal, industrial supply, and plastic distributor based in Michigan, expanded its 70+ locations and announced the purchase and expansion of their new Milwaukee facility in 2019.
According to the company, the new location’s 204,000 sq. ft. facility will have updated offices, expanded inventory and additional processing capabilities. The new facility will “allow Alro to focus on providing our customers with cut-to-size metals and next-day delivery in Wisconsin.”
Lee Mechanical was proud to partner with other Wisconsin-based companies for the completion of this project, under the direction of general contractor, Echelon Constructors.
The project called on Lee’s experience and expertise to overcome challenges, including the location’s shallow conditions for storm piping and issues related to the depth of the retention pond. Lee plumbers were able work around these conditions and provide a viable solution for Alro.
Lee provided:
- Initial design-build
- Renovation of the existing office toilet rooms
- Renovation of the existing office roof drains
- All new storm piping and roof drainage in the warehouse addition, as well as modifying roof drains in the existing warehouse
- 600 feet of heavy duty trench drain
- Multiple catch basin’s
“This project really highlighted our plumbers’ ability to work efficiently and effectively with other subcontractors. Rajon Excavation and L & S Insulation, among others, provided great teamwork and helped make Alro Steel’s project a success,” said Lee Kenosha Plumbing Division Manager, Frank Andreoli.
