Project Overview
Lee Mechanical provided a full design-build MEP package for Associated Wholesale Grocers’ new 17,000-square-foot vehicle maintenance facility. AWG required a robust, efficient, and code-compliant environment to maintain and service its fleet of semi-trailers, which included mechanical maintenance bays and a dedicated wash bay. Our team streamlined the entire process—delivering HVAC, electrical, and plumbing solutions specifically engineered for heavy-duty vehicle operations.
HVAC System Design & Installation
- Industrial-Grade Exhaust & Ventilation: Implemented high-performance exhaust systems to mitigate fumes and enhance indoor air quality for technicians.
- Energy-Efficient Controls & Zoning: Tailored climate control to maintain comfortable working conditions while minimizing operational costs.
Plumbing & Compressed Air Systems
- High-Capacity Wash Bays & Maintenance Stations: Designed for heavy usage with an emphasis on reliability and regulatory compliance.
- Compressed Air Infrastructure: Installed piping to service multiple repair bays, supporting pneumatic tools and tire inflation.
Electrical & Lighting Solutions
- High-Output LED Lighting: Maximized visibility in maintenance bays with energy-saving fixtures.
- Power Distribution & Scalability: Provided robust circuits for specialized equipment, lifts, and diagnostic tools, with electrical rough-ins for future expansion.
AWG’s New Maintenance Hub
By leveraging our design-build approach, we reduced project costs, streamlined coordination, and compressed the overall schedule, all while delivering a facility that meets AWG’s rigorous standards for safety, efficiency, and heavy-duty performance.
Now fully operational, the AWG Vehicle Maintenance Building ensures seamless servicing and upkeep of the company’s vital trucking fleet—underscoring Lee Mechanical’s commitment to excellence in design-build MEP solutions.
