Project Overview
In 2019, the U.S. Postal Service announced plans to build a new, 423,900 sq. ft. mail processing annex in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. A second phase of the current project includes a 511,100 sq. ft. processing and distribution center.
Lee Mechanical was selected to complete the plumbing services for the $36.5 million project under general contractor, Korte. The team worked closely with Wisconsin-based companies, such as Rajon Excavation and L & S Insulation, for the completion of this project.
Lee’s team of experts were an integral part of this project from start to finish. Using their experience with Trimble Robotic Total Station technology, Lee teamed up with Jarrel Mechanical Contractors, out of Earth City, MO, for the design-build. Lee’s experience with layout and installation enabled their team to finish the project efficiently and accurately.
Lee’s dedication to the completion of this project also oversaw the installation of:
- All interior sanitary waste systems
- Domestic roof piping
- Overflow drains
- Domestic water piping
- Plumbing equipment and fixtures
“This was a well-organized project, under the direction of a great general contractor and the supervision of Lee’s Superintendent Jeff Reiter. This was probably one of our top five largest jobs of the year, and it went smoothly, without a hitch. Great teamwork all around.” – Frank Andreoli, Plumbing Division Manager, Lee Mechanical
