At Lee Mechanical, we don’t just celebrate Women in Construction Week—we celebrate the incredible women in our industry every single day! From the job site to the office, women play a crucial role in keeping our projects moving, our teams strong, and our company thriving.
As a trusted Midwest provider of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and refrigeration (MEPF) services, we take immense pride in the skill and leadership of our female team members. Their contributions shape the success of every project, ensuring quality, efficiency, and innovation at every level.
Meet some of the powerhouse women making an impact at Lee Mechanical:

Amanda Haag
1st Year Apprentice
Amanda started in construction as a marketing professional before making the switch to hands-on work. Now a 1st-year apprentice, she thrives on the active nature of the job and the satisfaction of seeing ductwork seamlessly integrate into building systems. Working on the Microsoft project has been a game-changing experience, and she’s eager for what’s ahead.

Lexi DeGroot
Sheet Metal Journeyperson
Lexi’s career began in 2019, choosing an apprenticeship over college. After joining Lee two years ago, she’s gained hands-on experience on major projects like the Baird Center, completing her apprenticeship with Local 18. Now, she’s a skilled journeyperson ready to take on bigger opportunities.

Alaina Sorenson
Electrical Apprentice
Alaina has been part of our electrical division since 2020 and loves learning from experienced pros. Beyond mastering her trade, she’s developed confidence in collaboration and leadership. She’s currently expanding her skills in hospital maintenance and taking charge of fire alarm installations.

Samantha Howe
Electrician CW
Samantha joined the electrical trade in December 2024, looking for more than just a job—she wanted a career. She enjoys the constant learning opportunities, knowing that every project and challenge brings her closer to becoming a master of her craft.

Jessica O’Donnell
Experienced Electrician
With seven years in the electrical industry, Jessica was inspired by her father, an electrician, and carries his legacy forward. Her dedication and work ethic make a difference every day, and she’s proud to be part of a growing network of women in the trades.
Empowering Women in Construction—Every Day
At Lee Mechanical, we know that success in construction isn’t just about the work done on the job site. It’s about the dedication, expertise, and teamwork that happens behind the scenes as well. Our service department, accounting team, and marketing professionals are just as critical to our success as those out in the field.
We’re proud to support and uplift women in construction—not just for one week, but all year long.
