A Day in the Life with Steve Marin

Every day brings new technology, new lessons, and new challenges to master.

"Our job is mission critical. We verify that equipment runs the way it’s designed to—because 99.9% uptime isn’t optional."

I’m part of the commissioning team, so a typical day means verifying that equipment is installed to code, to spec, and that it performs exactly how it’s supposed to. These are mission-critical facilities—data centers that can’t afford downtime—so precision matters in everything we do.
We focus on large-scale construction projects, mainly data centers. Our work ensures those facilities are fully commissioned, efficient, and reliable before handoff. It’s demanding, but the impact is big.
Learning—hands down. Every day, there’s something new: technology, equipment, procedures. I’ve been doing this for years, and I still never stop learning. That’s what keeps it exciting.
I made a career change during COVID and took a chance joining Lee. It turned out to be the best decision I’ve made. Lee has taken me places I never thought possible and helped me achieve things I never imagined.
The people. Everyone is willing to help, share knowledge, and make sure you have what you need to succeed. It’s a team environment, and you feel supported from day one.
Do it. If you’re looking for opportunity, growth, and a company that values your effort, Lee Mechanical is the place. We’re always looking for good people who want to learn and contribute.
