A Day in the Life with Angie Waechter

Angie Waechter, Fire Protection Construction Manager

With more than 20 years in the sprinkler industry, Angie Waechter brings deep field and leadership experience to Lee Mechanical’s Fire Protection Division. In her role as Fire Protection Construction Manager, she oversees projects ranging from tenant build-outs to high-rise construction across healthcare, education, and industrial facilities. Her work centers on safety, collaboration, and delivering systems that protect lives when it matters most.

"In a roundabout way, we get to save lives. Being part of that is something I’m really proud of."

I work on a wide range of construction projects, from small tenant build-outs to large high-rise facilities. That includes healthcare, schools, warehouses, and everything in between. The variety keeps the work interesting and challenging.
As a Fire Protection Construction Manager, I’m focused on coordinating teams, managing installations, and ensuring systems are built correctly and efficiently. The goal is always to deliver reliable fire protection systems that perform exactly as designed.
Fire protection is unique because, ultimately, the work we do saves lives. A sprinkler system may never be seen or noticed, but when it’s needed, it buys people critical time to get out safely. Being part of that responsibility is incredibly meaningful.
The team here is highly motivated, open-minded, and genuinely fun to work with. There’s a strong sense of collaboration, and that makes coming to work every day something I actually look forward to.
Lee has a positive, growing culture that values collaboration and personal development. People here want you to succeed, and they give you opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. That support makes a real difference.
