A Day in the Life with Sam Sinclair

Sam Sinclair, Second-Year Plumbing Apprentice

Sam Sinclair is a plumbing apprentice at Lee Mechanical, proudly represented by Union Local 75, who brings pride, energy, and a strong sense of purpose to the trade. As a first-generation tradesperson, Sam found a passion for plumbing quickly and now works on new construction and building additions, including a new museum project in Milwaukee. Sam values the chance to keep learning on the job while being part of a team that supports growth every day.

"We protect the health of the nation by making sure that everyone gets clean and safe drinking water and safe sanitation."

I mostly work in new construction and add-ons to already existing buildings, and right now I’m working on a new museum in Milwaukee, which is cool for me because I’m from Milwaukee, so I feel like I’m going to be a part of history.
My favorite part of the job is getting to teach people the seriousness about plumbing.
A lot of people, when they think of plumbers, they think all we do is unclog toilets and drains all day, but we literally pipe surgeons. We protect the health of the nation by making sure that everyone gets clean and safe drinking water and safe sanitation.
I mostly use hand tools, and power tools all provided by my amazing company.
I like working for Lee because the team that I work with is a bunch of great guys. As an apprentice, I’m actually in school, so a lot of the stuff that I learn in school, the guys can help me figure out why everything’s piped the way it’s piped.
I love working for Lee Mechanical, so if you’re thinking about joining, stop thinking and come join the winning team.
