National “Feel the Love” Program

Members of Lee Mechanical’s residential HVAC team were honored to be part of Lennox’s “Feel the Love” program on Saturday, October 6th. According to the Lennox website, Feel the Love “works to support deserving families or individuals in their community who would benefit from a new piece of heating equipment installed prior to the winter weather season, and the program relies on nominations from the community to determine each year’s recipients. These deserving folks have made it their mission to support their neighbors and they always put others first, and the Lennox team is honored to be able to support these families.”

Lee’s HVAC technicians donated their time to install a new Lennox high efficiency furnace for retired U.S. Army Veteran Burnett Horton in his Racine home. Feel the Love was previously known as Heat UP-Wisconsin; its origin in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula was so successful that Lennox expanded it to sites across the country. 65 Wisconsin-based Lennox dealers participated in this year’s event.

Joining the team from Lee on the project was a Lennox District Manager, Lennox’s Corporate Marketing Manager (who flew in from Dallas, Texas) and a camera crew. Horton, who recently lost his wife, was very touched by the generosity from Lennox and the Lee team members. “We were very happy to participate in this year’s Feel the Love campaign,” stated Dave Bennett, project manager for Lee. “It brings our company together to serve those in need.”

Since the program began in Wisconsin in 2009, Lennox and its partners have provided more than 850 furnaces to families in-need, and the program has grown to include 20 states and 5 provinces in Canada. Last year alone, 175 furnaces were installed and the 2018 program is on track to serve even more families.
