My name is Melissa Germait and I am a Senior Project Manager at Lee Mechanical. I have been in the industry for 12 years and joined Lee about two months ago. My work centers on large commercial HVAC projects, covering mechanical, sheet metal, and mechanical pipe. The project types vary widely: hospitals, healthcare facilities, schools, offices, data centers, large remodels, and new construction. If it is large commercial HVAC, that is my focus.

No two days are the same, and that is part of what I enjoy about the role. There is always something in motion: coordinating across trades, working through project details, managing timelines, and staying connected to what is happening in the field. The day-to-day has a level of complexity to it that keeps the work interesting. I prefer it that way.

Working with the tradesmen and women on the job. They are the ones actually building these structures, and what they do has a real and lasting impact on the communities around them. Getting to know the people doing that work, building relationships on the job site, and being part of something that contributes to the built environment in a meaningful way, that is what I find most rewarding about this career.

Large commercial HVAC work across a broad range of building types. Hospitals and healthcare facilities make up a significant portion, along with schools, office buildings, and data centers. The work spans both new construction and remodel projects. The scale and complexity of these jobs require close coordination and a clear understanding of how mechanical, sheet metal, and piping systems interact across a large project.

Collaborative and open. From my experience so far, it is a place where people are willing to work together and where communication is not a barrier. That kind of environment makes a difference when you are managing complex projects and need to move quickly to solve problems. I made the decision to join Lee and I have been glad about it every day since.
