Lee Mechanical recently completed a comprehensive refrigeration replacement project for New Castle Place, a luxury retirement community located in Mequon, Wisconsin.
The project ran from December 1 to December 15, 2025, under the leadership of Lee Project Manager Kyle Arkell. New Castle Place operates a full commercial kitchen that delivers daily food service and customized dining options to its entire community, relying heavily on its refrigeration systems to support continuous kitchen operations. As part of this project, Lee Mechanical performed all refrigeration-related work, replacing the entire refrigeration system, including two walk-in coolers and one walk-in freezer.
The project presented several unique challenges due to the critical need to preserve all food during the replacement process. With such a high volume of perishable items, the team had to carefully plan the relocation of all stored food while working within strict timeframes to avoid temperature fluctuations. Lee’s skilled technicians executed the work with precision, ensuring uninterrupted kitchen operations and maintaining proper food preservation standards throughout the process. Thanks to detailed coordination and expert handling, the project was completed successfully with zero food loss. The total project cost was $56,482.00.
